MentorNJ Technology Meet-up
Registration is now open for the MentorNJ Technology Meetups for the first half of 2019!
MentorNJ Meetups are an opportunity for interested library staff, at any level, to get together informally and discuss issues, ask questions, seek guidance, and learn more about various different topics related to libraries and library work. These particular meetups focus on technology in libraries, so from ILS systems, to social media, to IT issues, to makerspaces, to workshops and tech sessions, and much more, any topic related to technology and libraries is fair game.
All meeting notes are documented in real time and shared with attendees, as well as made publically available on the past meet-ups list (where you can right now find archived notes from all of last years meetings).

MentorNJ Technology Meetups
These meetups are designed to be a casual, but hopefully informative and useful, networking and sharing opportunity to attendees to discuss tech issues in library and beyond, ask questions, explore issues, and of course get to know each other and connect!
These meetups are open to any library staff interested in discussing and exploring tech issues.
The next two meetups are scheduled as follows:
- January 19th (10am-12pm) / Mercer County Library Main Branch
- March 23rd (10am-12pm) / Montclair Public Library
To attend one or both of these sessions, please use the following form to register - https://goo.gl/forms/0NgqvZvvTsgnFixq1
And of course I am happy to answer any question you may have regarding these meetups. And as always, thanks to the MentorNJ initiative for being the catalyst for these meetup opportunities! You can learn more about the MentorNJ initiative here : http://librarylinknj.org/MentorNJ
MESH Café & Overnight Respite
Mesh Cafe
During the fall, winter and spring months, Montclair Emergency Services for the Homeless (MESH) partners with churches and synagogues in the Montclair community to serve thousands of nourishing evening meals for homeless and near-homeless residents of Montclair. The concept, MESH Café, includes not only nourishing food but also dinner conversations with individuals and families from our community.
The MESH Café evening meal program occurs nightly, Monday through Saturday, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm. All Cafes personalize their delivery of hearty meals, comfort and inspirational conversation but often included with the meals are essential personal items, daily newspapers, live music, and wellness check-ins. From September to June, the Cafes feature an evening meal consisting of an appetizer, salad, entree and dessert During the summer months of July and August, the MESH Cafe operates three days a week (Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday) featuring a lighter fare of salads, sandwiches, casseroles and fruits. The MESH Cafes closes for vacation beginning the fourth Monday of August and re-opens on the second Monday in September each year.

All are welcome. Lunch is not merely a place for a meal. It is a place where friends meet, where volunteers and guests share stories and laughter.
